Who are we looking for?
We want to hear from creative and enthusiastic young people who live or have lived in the Wigan Borough. WigLe Dance are particularly interested in supporting people often marginalised from the arts including working class people, disabled people, People of South, East and South East Asian heritage, People of African or Caribbean heritage, Irish Traveller heritage and Latinx heritage. This opportunity is also for young people who don’t have an arts background but have an interest and are curious to get involved.
How long will the project last?
The festival will take place in July. The project at times will be flexible to your schedules but the core group will meet regularly and sub groups can decide when they want to meet. With a required commitment to arrive at certain dance groups and local communities at their chosen availability (yet to be discussed with those groups) when filming the work.
