We’re looking for musicians, singers, DJs, rapper, spoken word artists and any other young creatives interested in contributing to a youth music event at Burnley Mechanics Theatre on Wednesday 23rd October 2024.
The event is part of our Music or Lose It project which aims to make music education more accessible and inclusive for young people. Over the past year professional musicians and producers have been running music workshops in community centres across Burnley and now we’re putting on our biggest youth music event to date. We want to bring people together to celebrate the diverse range of music that young people are making and performing and put the spotlight on local talent.
If you’re aged 13 – 26 and want to perform at the event express your interest by filling in this form. You don’t need to have experience of performing to an audience but we are expecting over 100 people to be there on the night.
We’re also interested in hearing from any young adults who would like to get involved in producing the event or sharing their creativity…from working on the marketing, to set design and lighting.
Performance fees available and travel expenses covered.
The deadline for filling in the form is 9am on Thursday 29 August 2024. We’ll confirm the timings and line up after the closing date.
