Between October 2022 and February 2023 a group of young people worked with artist Sophie Gibson at The Whitaker museum and art gallery in Rawtenstall to explore the area’s history of shoe making. They also discussed how and where shoes are made today and the environmental issues with ‘fast fashion’. Together they created a new trail around the museum. In this short film they explain what they did, what they gained from the project and what they hope visitors will take away from doing the trail.
